How to inflate air mattress - Basic guide

When you're camping, having a companion over to spend the night, or simply searching for an advantageous spot to crash, an air mattress can be your best companion. These handy mattresses can make for comfortable sleeping and usually compress to a fraction of their full size, making them highly portable and convenient. Whether you're working with a mattress-compatible pump or simply using the tools you have handy, inflating an air mattress is a simple matter of pushing air into the mattress

Basic steps to inflate an air mattress


Step 1 Lay out the mattress Lay out the air mattress, spread over a story.

Step 2 Open valve Open the valve cover and interface the pump.

Step 3 
Inflate mattress. Turn on the electric pump or pump up the mattress physically in case you're using a hand or foot pump.

Step 4 
Insert hose Inflate an air mattress with a vacuum in the event that you don't have a pump by embeddings the hose from the vacuum into the valve on the mattress.

Step 5
Reverse mode Reverse the suction on your vacuum to make it victory air.

Step 6 Allow to fill Turn on the vacuum and permit the mattress to fill until it is full.

When you do not have a pump, use Trash Bag

Open up a large trash bag and catch a bundle of air in it. Seal the end of the pack to the mattress and lay ontop of it. You'll have to do it a couple times to expand the mattress, however it beyond any doubt beats attempting to blow into it for 60 minutes.

Use vacumm cleaner

If you need to inflate an air mattress for a guest and can't find your electric or battery powered air pump you can always use a bagged vacuum cleaner. Their method inflates the air mattress in around 15 seconds.
